Katherine Cain

Katherine Keola Cain, 83, of Kapaau died May 19, 2013, at Kohala Hospital. Born Feb. 27, 1929, in Niulii, she was an EKG technician and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala ward.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. June 8 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-cay Saints, Kohala Ward for an 11 a.m. service. Burial follows in Hawi County Cemetery.

She is survived by sons, Michael (Pamela) Cain of Farmington, N.Y., Richard Cain of New Athens, Ill., David (Sylvia) Cain of Cincinnati; daughter, Cathy (Thomas) Helmick of Bradford, Ohio; brothers, James (Lorraine) Phillip of Marina, Calif., Charles (Patricia) Phillip of Panama City, Fla.; sisters, Rose Maeda, Esther Maeda and Vivian Kim, all of Kohala, Daisy (Robert) Naihe of Hilo, Theresa Mahi of Kalaoa, Cynthia (Fred) Hatanaka of La Palma, Calif.,; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
